  Had this place as my school a long time ago, loved it. I now live in Arizona, and the school I go to now is hell compared to this place. I honestly miss this school, food (at least from what I remember) was incredible. If they changed the way they teach, I will be very angry, the teaching methods I remember we genuinely fun and engaging

  My grandkids are normal A Typical children and they went there and did great. I have a friend that has an Autistic 8 year old son. She has little or no family in town so I help her when possible and so does my family. We sent him to McArthur in 2012 because the school system promised that was the piglet school for several new ESE classes but we soon found out they could not get it together and her poor son was stuck in a class for half the year while we watched the TA's quit and move to other schools. We eventually moved him after we complained and complained but he was so far behind. That one year has hurt his social growth, learning and I'm sure he knew something was wrong, he Autistic not stupid. Anyway it took another year at a school that wasn't prepared for him but all that time they neglected to tell us they moved the new ESE Program to a school across town. It's a work in progress every day but hopefully he will pull through the mistakes of McArthur. That is why they get 2 stars.

  Excellent school in an excellent area. Several generations of my family attended, we all loved it, and I love it now as a parent. The principal is the ONLY principal I've known to be so involved, knows each and every child and their family. Ive seen her, more than once, opening car doors in the rain to usher kids safely inside.
